Bizarro store window

Yes, your butt looks fat
Toronto, ON, May 2008

I risked a ticket while sitting in stop-and-go traffic to grab this shot of one of the most wacky-looking window displays I'd seen in a while. I don't even know what this store sells, but I'm guessing I'm not part of its target market.

Your turn: I suppose this qualifies as odd. Have you shared yours yet? Head over here if you haven't (and even if you have!)

  2. Hi Carmi, thanks for the comment about Anton in my blog. To be honest, I can't even remember who Anton really is. I know I visited someone named Anton and I think I left a comment on one of the posts there but that's about it.

I don't know if he plagiarized any of my posts or not but I've no way of verifying since the blog has been taken down.

I kinda hate people stealing someone else's post word for word and if he did, well I hope he gets what's due to him.

What I write in my blog is written straight from the heart and of my personal experiences and views and I would hate to know someone is stealing them word for word!

Thank you for the heads up anyway :D

  4. Hey Carmi, you are spamming over the whole blog community to talk about Anton's plagiarism other people blog... did he plagiarize yours or someone else? What has happened? I would have no comment until i see the proof ... :p

  6. Plagiarism is a serious offence. Accusing others of plagiarism when there's no solid evidence is equally as offensive.

From my observation, you've been getting quite a lot of traffic from Malaysia today for the fact that all of us has known. The way you're leaving your 'comments' in the blogs linked to Anton's seemed to us that you're also trying to create more traffic to your blog. If that is so, you're getting some pretty negative publicity instead.

By the way, don't see what's odd of that window decoration. It's all about creativity and how a person perceives the creativity.

  8. I think it qualifies as odd... Kind of pretty too though!

Yes, I've shared mine, although it's not that odd, I guess.

  9. I'm... uh... not in their target demographic either. Clearly. Those placards that read "DF" are missing a "W". As if "WDF?" (Okay, it's a stretch, but a little license must be granted here. I mean WDF are those things??.)

I sorta had a similar scene... in that I don't know what these guys sell either. And I'm a little afraid to ask.

  10. Hello Carmi!
According to the help wanted sign in the window I think I have figured out what the store is selling... dog 'squeeky' chew toys. DF stands for Dog Father and I think they are wanting experienced dog groomers for a doggie spa.
Speaking of odd shops, my husband and I have always felt that the cheese and taxidermy shop just outside of Aylmer is the oddest shop we have seen.

  11. Some things just look wrong. But this isn't one of them.
    I LIKE IT.
Part of me hopes it is either a take-out chicken restaurant, or a fertility clinic.

  13. You should have made this one of your Caption This posts. A title came to my mind: Just Hangin' Around.
