If you've come across anything that's a work-in-progress, please feel free to share it here.I feared for this man's life as I watched him carefully excavate deep in an unseen corner of this frighteningly deep excavation. Oh, he was clearly a professional, and I don't want this to sound as if I doubted his abilities. But often as you watch skilled workers dance their way through an environment that would make regular folks faint, you find yourself holding your breath anyway. Because it all seems so unreal.
This hole will eventually become the foundation of a suitably tall building. Hundreds of people will work here, and I'm willing to bet precious few of them will ever take the time to think about the workers like this one who risked their lives to create the routine workplaces we take for granted.
