If winter is a season of monochromes barely lit by a weak sun, then spring is all color and brilliance. As much as I rather enjoy the moodiness of the snowy season - sorry, it's the Montrealer in me - my soul gets a much needed jolt as soon as the snow melts and the flowers begin to poke out of the just-greening lawn.

It reaffirms that life always manages to find a way back. I find that somewhat comforting.
