What the hell is this?

On the last day of the year, I found myself feeling a little playful. So I threw the camera settings into pray-this-comes-out mode and went to work.

Anyone want to guess what this is? I'll post the full rundown tonight, but I'm curious what you think. The crazier the better.

  1. It looks like water, but I'm guessing it's not. Probably some sort of light play.

  2. My first impression is that it's your camera showing a taste for electrifying-impressionism with one of your ocean visits.... but even as I type this, your craziest idea is tugging at me...so I'll think a bit more and comment again!

  3. Okay Carmi, I'm still looking for that pray-this-comes-out mode on my own camera! ha ha... Since this is the last day of the year, and you like taking pictures of the sky, day and night, birds or no birds, from the plane or not, I'd guess this has to do with the sky, and clouds....but still this isn't really a crazy idea, icing on the cake or a suitcase would be crazy ideas, and only a guess. So my thought is the sky!

  5. What ever it is, it is outrageous! I love the colors and swirls, very abstract expressionism.

  6. I had taken something similar.. My glass table outside had rainwater on it and the sun light hit the drops and seemed to give more of a swirly look to the water.

  7. I admit I'm baffled. I thought water too but that would be too easy. It has to be some sort of plastic texture, but what I don't know. Good one, can't wait to see the answer.

  8. Glass on a car headlight is my guess.

  9. Since it probably isn't water (that would be too easy, right?) I'm going to guess that it is a real close up of one of those blue Fruit Roll-Ups? Maybe?
