I don’t do this enough, and as I stand in the snow, alone in the middle of this heavily forested river valley, I resolve to get out here more often.
The human brain is an amazing thing, because it is remarkably adept at blocking out the things that don’t matter so we can focus on the things, in the moment, that do.
Assuming, of course, that we give ourselves the time, space, and energy to allow that to happen.
