Cast a giant shadow London, ON August 2022 This photo originally shared on Instagram |
After travelling 151 million kilometres through the inner solar system, it ends up at my feet where it nourishes the grass and casts artful shadows on the concrete sidewalk.
It is the very catalyst of all the life you see here - and ours - and it seems like an odd thing to stand in the middle of empty suburbia and ponder the physics of it all, as well as its meaning.
But odd is kinda my thing. And the dog doesn’t seem to mind as she grazes quietly just out of frame, waiting patiently until we stumble into the next unexpected discovery along our grand adventure.
Random life moments. I hope we never run out of them.
