There’s an argument to be made that airports are sacred places. Not in the traditional sense, mind you, but in the role they play as portals to the rest of the planet.
Countless people begin and end their journeys here, and it’s difficult to ignore the resonance of a place where we literally leave the ground in search of whatever adventures may unfold when we eventually return to it.
For now, there are no adventures - just exotic machines sitting quietly in pools of light.
Soon the sun will rise. This machine will fly once more, only to be replaced by others. And the cycle will continue for those lucky enough to find new destinations, and those responsible for their journeys.
