Century-old factories repurposed as condos and offices make for fascinating viewing, particularly in the darkened alleys between the ancient brickwork.
This scene practically invites us to run our fingers along the rough brick, or imagine the stories that might have played out on or near the steel fire escape stairs.
Maybe those stories weren’t always pretty. But they were - and are - still worth remembering, even in the whispers of modern images pulling light out of the darkness.
