A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

I love these photos Carmi.
That's a great photo....no I am not thirsty for it but I love the color and feel of the shot. Michele sent me but I like to visit your site anyway...I think its "classy".
Doesn't make me thirsty because I don't drink soda...the burp factor, ya know!
But the photo is great and good practice trying to catch water drops. So keep going.
MIchele...
No it does not make me thirsty. I love the colors and everything but I just can't get myself excited about those flavors. Cool-aide to me.
I'm craving an orange soda now...and I just had some orange juice! LOL! Nice shot, and I don't think it's strange at all; your eye likes what your eye likes.
Kia Ora (Hello) from a blogger down under in New Zealand. No, it doesn't make me thirsty !!! Are you nuts........you really want me to answer that ??? And people say I'm krazy !!! (Hehe) Great blog....
Yes it makes me thirsty! LOL well, thirstier...I'm having a massive liquid evening...and I*do* drink a lot of soda.
I love your photo's Carmi. :-)
But no, the soda one doesn't make me thirsty - I am trying to avoid soda for weightloss reasons. I prefer more nutrients for my calories these days - haven't even had chocolate! I so better have lost weight. LOL.
Pretty colours though, I would never have dreamt of taking a pic of them but it works.....wish I could "see" these kind of things in my everyday life the way you do.
I don't find myself thirsty. I really find myself admiring the vibrant colors of orange & pink amongst the ice. Just something about that.
Excellent pic
Mmm . . .I don't even like Crush and this pic is making it look mighty appealing to me . . .
Actually it does make me a bit thirsty and curious as to what the other flavor is in there besides orange.
That photo DOES make me thirsty; must be the ice and the dew on the cans. Beautiful shot!
Coke and Dr. Pepper are my sodas of choice (I can't believe you call it Pop *wink*). I have cut back this past year, only drink that stuff on occasion.
Hello, Michele sent me -- this time, anyway! :)
You have quite an eye, and I'm sure I've told you that before.
I hit the button too soon... I am thirsty and I don't know if it's the picture or your suggestion that I might be thirsty! :)
No, I don't feel thirsty at all, but it is a well taken photo.
Michele sent me here.
No, not really. I'm a Diet Coke or nothing kind of gal, but usually nothing. However, I am amused by current kids' fascination with Fanta, a drink that was big in my childhood. Everything old is new again!
Michele sent me!
Nuts? There are photographers who may a living shooting nothing BUT pictures like this!
Gorgeous! (doesn't appeal to me on a thirst level, though. I shake soda to get most of the carbonation OUT! Otherwise I mostly drink water anyway.)
Here by way of michele, and thanks for stopping by too!
It does not make my thirsty at all but I do want an orange now. Oh and yes you are crazy but not for taking those pictures ;0
I love this picture. The colors are great. It doesn't make me thirsty, but the cans have a pop art kind of appeal.
I am partial to a nice can of pop :o)
Michele sent me today
I love these kinds of pictures. Mind you, I could be biased. I spent about an hour yesterday taking pictures of abandoned fishing rope on a jetty in a remote village in the west of Ireland! My partner just thought I was nuts when I said "it's for my rope series"! ;)

you might as well have been shooting a print ad! how come you don't have dr. pepper or cherry coke in there? haha!
here via michele but then i lurk around here on my own sometimes. :)
I love the picture Carmi, the textures and the colours are beautiful.. Does it have to make one thirsty though to be a good picture or just be appreciated for its aesthetic beauty?
Oh and Michele sent me...

I dig your style. I shoot people like you shoot inanimate objects. At least in your case your subjects don't get chafed. It's a living hell being a social documentarian.
By the way, thanks for the compliment. I don't draw professionally, though I had a series of editorial cartoons published in an entertainment weekly. I'm probably going to resume and just publish them myself online -
(here by my own accord.)
I like all of your photos Carmi. They are a statement on modern life, and they will have historical value someday, just like all other photos.
Thanks for the visit and comment about WV and CM. I still haven't had any more problems with comment spam, so I'm going to leave it as is for the time being.
Michele sent me, Carmi. Sound familiar?
It does make me thirsty, Carmi. I just love soda though it's the first thing I cut out of my diet when I try to lose weight.
I think the picture is very good. Soda and other high margin items are usually very photogenic because they have all that extra profit to plow back into marketing--and pretty as a picture is not an empty phrase. Pretty equals sales!
Hi Carmi! Michele sent me!
I thought the photo was an old ad photograph. Lovely job on the composition! The colors are fabulous, too.
I like what you wrote in your profile how you believe in random acts of kindness. Beutiful. My second to last post talks about this, actually. I love your blog. And I also love oatmeal-'cept I usually use honey instead of brown sugar!
I think you would like my blog...come visit some time if it's your pleasure!
See you soon!
BTW--I just got your comment! I've given Kitty a little peck on the cheek in honor of all things (and people!) Canadian!
An ad-ready photo! I like your unusual 'Point of View' photos a lot so it is interesting to see you take some slightly more conventional ones (the fizzy drink and the tree!) - But wait - the drinks photo is really of a Party!
Here today via Michele's!
rashbre
That is a fabo photo, Carmi! Great colours and textures. Yep, it does make me thirsty, but I can't drink carbonated drinks either....
keep up the nice pictures, we love 'em!
Here from Michele's this time
cq
Yep, makes me feel thirsty and the colours are great too! :)
(Here via Michele's).
I hardly ever drink soda, I am a coffee girl. Having said that the picture made me crave Fanta LOL
Michele sent me today :)
My hubby was walking by when I was checking out your blog and he almost lost it when he saw the orange crush. He loves OC! This one makes me want cheesies too because this is kids' party chow!
The people that design those cans know what they are doing...of course they make me thirsty!
I'm with you on the carbonation thing, though...gads, all those bubbles make it hard to swallow. And the drinks are toooo sweet!
The photograph is fantastic Carmi! The colors, the water, the ice, it makes you feel the photo. It would make a great ad shot for Crush.
You have a great eye! Keep it up!
Here via Michele's again! Hope YOU aren't getting tired of me...LOL!
Great picture.
I know that is a crush, but now I am thirsty for a Fanta.
Michele sent me.
You managed to get inahead of me at Michele's!
I love grape crush. Mmmmmmm!
Ya know, before I even saw the question, I was thinking to myself, "MAN that picture makes me thirsty!" Awesome picture, carmi!
I'm here via Michele's today!
