A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

what perfect lighting and a beautiful day.
thanks for stopping by!
But I bet that the snow is beautiful in it's old, cold way. Me, I happen to appreciate it from the inside, but I hate being out in it.
Hope you've had a nice week, and Shabbat Shalom.
I don't know where you live, but it sure is beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Michele sent me, but I've been here before!
Boy is that ever true! And you caught it BEAUTIFULLY Carmi...That is a very very special photo...taken by a very very special man!
I'm here tonight from Michele and very happy about it, too!
Thanks for your very dear comment yesterday. I soooo apreciated it.
Incidentally Carmi..my friend Danny Miller wrote this BRILIANT post about "The Wizard Of Oz" and I think you might enjoy reading it...it made me laugh and cry! here is the exact link...(I hope I copy this correctly...

Being Jewish myself, it was, I thought very funny, but also deeply profound. ENJOY! (Let me know what you think...)
That pic is beautiful. Thanks for stopping by last week.
Wise words, indeed.
Nice Shot Carmi, really nice shadows and a great deliniation between Fore Mid and background. I can see why you stopped for it.
btw my blog has changed I am now residing at http://aginoth.blogspot.com
Indeed, it's important to grab moments while they're there. Life is continually overwriting how it's been. Great warm-looking picture, relative to now.
Michele sent me. Here's a cup hot soup for your cold.

Back from Michele's this time...:o)
Michele sent me to see you, Carmi. It's been like a whole day since I was here last!
I love the way snow looks but I moved down south because that's the only thing I like about it! LOL The shadows in your picture are quite photogenic, Carmi. Good eye!
nice shadows--there's a traditional prayer about death that has a line I like that goes something like: "until the shadows lenghten and the day is done..."
Well put, Carmi.
I'll come back later ;o)
Still nice trees though :oD

It's a beautiful picture - and I'm sure it's just as beautiful in snow:-) You will have to take a lot of photo's to capture the essence of the place, which is why nothing is as good as actually being there.

I was thinking of doing a time-lapse photo project, myself with that concept in mind. I haven't found a spot or subject yet. I was inspired by a mountain bike I saw continuously decay over a period of five semesters. It was bolted to a bike rack behind the library at the University @ Buffalo. It's owner must have finally gotten a car.
Anyway, it did finally disappear forever and alas, I lost my opportunity.
Here from Michele's place. I really enjoy the photos you post. I guess I need to start carrying my camera with me more often.
Hi Carmi!
I love the pic. But I really love saying Grosvenor. It's one of those words that you can't stop saying once you learn to pronounce it right.
Michele sent me.
Time changes, but a photograph is forever!
Beautiful shot!
Here via Michele's today!
Hi, Carmi -- Michele sent me. Lovely picture, and I'm sure it's beautiful with the snow, too. It looks and feels like a Spring day here in Dallas.
Gorgeous photo :-)
Have you published your pictures?
Here from Michele's this time :-)

Our discussion a while back about using that word verification is coming up frequently now. Especially now that, as you pointed out, one can use comment moderation.
verry nice! i like how you were able to capture the shadows. :)
Hi Again Carmi...
I'm here from Michele this afternoon, but I always like coming to visit you on my own, as well! Did you get a chance to read the Danny Miller piece?
Wow! Great photo. Trees are the most beautiful in winter. I think I'm gonna paint some tree nudes. Michele sent me.
I think it's absolutely beautiful that you find beauty in such subtle things. That's just beautiful!!!
Thank you for your vision.
Your photographs are beautiful!
I love this picture. It makes me want to lay down and take a nap under those trees.
