In the fleeting minutes between sunset and total darkness, the sky puts on the day’s final show.

Transcendent colours splay from one side of the horizon to the other, streaked by abstract clouds tracing random characters.

High-level winds shape and reshape the scene as the light first flares brightly, then gradually fades into night.

So we stand on the ground and divine the stories being told far above our heads, our imaginations racing to keep up.

And we thank the heavens for allowing us the privilege just this one more time.
