A very Sault sunset

In a northern Canadian city where huge towers of steel reach high into the big sky, the sun and the clouds - and a single stealthy bird - decide to put on one last show before tucking in for the night.

We’ve stopped here, the halfway point of a two-day drive. As we shuffle off the third floor elevator in search of our hotel room, there isn’t really enough time for a full-on shoot.

But there’s no reason why I can’t spend a furtive few minutes beside the filthy window at the end of the hallway.

The light is fading fast, so I work quickly before rejoining the fam to figure out dinner plans.

Tomorrow promises more adventures on the road, and more big skies to take our collective breath away.
