Bottom of the bottle

A couple of relatively unadorned glass water bottles sit on a relatively simple surface under relatively subdued lighting. There isn't any real reason for me to capture this particular scene, but I take my camera out anyway simply because I like what I'm seeing. I don't always need a reason, after all.
I'm liking this photography thing more and more with each passing day.

What do I love about photography?
I love being able to see the world through many different angles and views....from the simplest to the most spectacular. What a reminder for me to savor the moments I am living!

I love the colour and lighting of this shot.
Photography.....I love the challenge. I love the fact that it allows me an opportunity to see images and colour and light with different eyes. I love the creativity of it. It feeds my curiosity and my desire to learn.
Photography is an open ended possibility of learning....
Like writing.......it's the next shot that just may be a masterpiece!
It is a beautiful picture. I love the rich golden brown colors, its hightlights and lowlights. Subtle yet worthy of a closer look.

Yopu help us see things in ways that we might never have noticed, Carmi. You make the ordinary look important, and worthy of notice.
There is a different world that I can capture with the lens... small, minute particles of reality I might have missed.

We were in CA just last weekend...there's plenty to photograph, isn't there??
It's being able to show people what has engaged me without necessarily having to put it into words.

First of all, I like all the ambers and golds in that picture - it looks rich and warm. Secondly, I like the sheen of moisture on the bottles - they look slick and inviting.
Why do I love photography? What do I NOT love about photography? I love the whole "capturing a moment in time" thing. This is especially important to me because I tend to live in the future, always planning ahead. So, it's necessary for me to capture tidbits of my past so I won't forget it.

I like photography because when you look at a picture you try to see what captured the photographers eye. It puts yourself in their shoes. I agree with Anna, it reminds me to davor my moments too.
Nice photo. I love the reflection of the surface in the water.
I love photography as I enjoy the whole creative process but most of all it makes me look at the world around me, really look at it.

I like photography because it captures not only what we see, but what we feel. And often, the eye misses so many details that you find in a picture.

what a heavy question.
For me it's stopping time. Making memories that could of been forgotten remembered down the road through photos.
Oh, I don't care about the photos.
I just love perpetuating the JPEG image format.
I really love the colors in this shot. I use to do a lot of photography and have begun to get back into it as a way to illustrate
Carmi I have found that the technical side of photography leaves me cold at the moment. However the story a photograph tells, both of the subject and of the person who took the picture I find to be absolutely fascinating.
