On life's canvas

"Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it."
Danny Kaye
This being a long weekend and all, I thought the late Mr. Kaye's words would be particularly worth sharing. I hope you're making the most of the time you've been given, this weekend and always.

Your turn: What does your canvas look like?

Oops, I have fat fingers and I clicked the wrong thing when moderating comments. Gord Harrison - author of the excellent blog, http://itstrikesmefunny.blogspot.com/, left this gem earlier this morning. My apologies to Gord:

great QOTD by Danny Kaye.

it's noon and I've already splashed a few colours onto the canvas. I've stopped to listen to cicadas singing from dozens of hidden corners in Old South. I've enjoyed coffee and a refill in The Village. I've turned a 100-year old slab of spruce over in my hands and dreamt about its future as a writing table. Time now for a sandwich!

Keep well,

GH

I bought some suet-seed blocks that were on sale at Ace Hardware. Now I'm hoping some birds show up to take advantage, and perhaps provide some nice photo opportunities in turn.

I love Danny Kaye and catch his movies whenever they are on the classic movies stations. This is a great quote and describes my life to a "T". There is always plenty of paint on my canvas, but it is by no means a masterpiece at times. But then, what would be the fun of living on an empty, stark white medium everyday?
