I could never get into orange marmalade, though it is pretty. We're big on jam in this house. Marion berry from Oregon is the current fave.
I have this great strawberry/watermenon rind jelly that my mother-in-law made. I am going to have to go turn it upside down. That marmalade looks yummy!! anyone got a spare bagel?

That's beautiful... it looks like a big dinner plate from that angle. I love the colors.
I'm going to look at life from both sides now, the top and bottom, and still somehow...it's life's illusions, I recall...I really don't know jam... at all.

I'm playing a contemporary piece next week, printed on a transparent plastic sheet... I'll try looking at it upside down on reverse ; it might actually sound better !

My dad just made some cornbread from scratch and it would taste so very good with that orange marmalade on top.
There are so many things I need to look at from a different perspective and most of them have nothing to do with photography. I believe this is called "personal growth"?
I am also surprised by what the bottom of jelly looks like. I would go home and look if'n I had any jelly to look at. I do not. I have not been in a jelly/jam/marmalade mood. I like Marmaduke. . . but he is not a spread. He is a dog.

That's an easy one, Carmi. My 87-year-young Aunt gets such a thrill placing a freshly-sliced Lemon into her hot tea when we hang out and talk at her place. She takes her spoon and has me look over her shoulder as she squeezes the lemon and the colors change. But then, my Aunt is so cool! Hope your weekend is a great one, Carmi!

looks yummy! my mom made a ton of peach preserves this year and my boys love it! only every time i've had it out making lunch, i haen't had time to think about looking at it from another point of view... usually in a rush in the mornings! and i haven't taken many pix lately at all!

I like taking pictures of nipples but oddly enough I never post them. I think that comes under the "I value my life" heading. LOL There's something very interesting about the effects of texture and topography. Color too.
Not that there's anything wrong with jars of marmalade, Carmi. They have the huge advantage of not pissing anyone off if you post them. The other day I was waiting for an incubation to finish in my lab and I was taking pictures through a beaker in which I had some blue dye swirling just to see how the out of focus color would affect the resulting picture. It was very interesting but not very good quality. Just an experiment...

Michele sent me back, carmi. I look at most things diffferently now that I have a blog and a digital camera. I am always looking for the next photo to post, and anything is fair game. You made me see the possibilities in even the mundane objects we have around us.
You never cease to amaze me. A very highly unique individual you are. I have never seen a photographer with such an eye as yours. I may not post every day Carmi in your blog, but I always check out your incredible pictures. The one of your daughter and you should be framed. I cried when I looked at it, a Daddy trying to capture his daughters youth. They grow up so fast. That one should be entered in an art show. Have you ever entered anything? Take care and keep on clicking that shutter!!
