Thematic Photographic 210 - Parallelism

Origami wannabe
Toronto, ON
July 2012

In the interest of not exceeding my already-enfeebled brain's ability to keep up, I'm deliberately keeping this week's theme fairly simple. If it's got parallel lines in it, or if it even suggests parallelism, I hope you'll share it.

That's it! My vacuum-headedness notwithstanding, I know you'll have as much fun with this theme as you did the last. I suspect it's one of those themes that subtly offers all sorts of opportunities to explore with a lens, and I can't wait to see what you all come back with.

Please, also, accept my thanks for making last week's "from behind" theme one of our most popular themes in a while. Could this be a Thematic renaissance? Time will tell...in the meantime, enjoy!

Your turn: Please take a parallel-themed picture, post it to your blog, and leave a comment here letting folks know where to find it. If you've already posted something previously, feel free to share it, as well. Repeat as often as you wish, and if you want to invite a friend or otherwise spread the Thematic joy, go for it. Don't forget to visit other participants - that's the most inspiring part of the deal. Oh, and have fun with it. Because that's why we do it. For more Thematic background, click here.

I instantly knew where to go for this challenge. Plus, I got a sweet treat to boot.

Ah, but simplicity is the best way inspiring complex feelings. When things hold to many things to digest, they lead thoughts. But with lines of black and white and grey, the minds is left to think and create. I like it.

This week, I celebrate strings ;-)

Your photo reminds me of something the Walker had on display. It was the American Flag in this exact color and it's caption said, the longer you look at this you will begin to see the actual colors of the flag. Seriously it worked! Great shot Carmi! Here's mine

Lovely theme! Took a walk this morning and realised how much man-made stuff was straight and geometric, whereas nature prefers curves etc.! However, my parallels are here http://gillymaccsphotos.blogspot.com

Round and round or up and down there seems to be some parallelism going on at this amusement Park.

I have a very literal interpretation:

and a different kind of parallel:
