Everyone could use another reason to smile.

So ask yourself what you’re doing to make that happen. What simple things are you going to do today to bring a little happiness to the people who cross your path?

I’ll start: Instead of my usual gaze-to-the-floor, stone-faced look while I’m walking among strangers, I’ll look up and look happy. Maybe even make eye contact with an occasional like-minded soul.

Because tiny kindnesses and connections can sometimes have the most profound impact. And we'll never know if we don't at least try.
