Subtle etchings in glass

[Part 3 in an ongoing series on kitchen table photographic jam sessions. We join our narrative already in progress...]

I've been buying the same brand of cherry jam - Smuckers - for as long as I can remember, yet only yesterday did I discover the raised-relief script branding just below the lid.

I suspect there are two possibly linked lessons here:
  1. I need to start paying more attention to the small stuff.
  2. I'm leading an overly trivial life where tiny consumer product design details take on an outsized degree of importance.
And while I could probably write another few hundred words on the topic, I think it's more than enough to just leave it here.

Life is, after all, complicated enough as it is. And sometimes it’s enough to simply appreciate the subtle glass markings without necessarily overthinking them.
