It's another wintry afternoon among many wintry afternoons here in London. Lake-effect snow flurries are rolling off of Lake Huron and finding their way into the city. I'm sitting at the computer thinking of something - anything - to write, and all I can see as I look out the window is endless glum.
To jumpstart my brain into writing more articles that challenge readers, anger members of my extended family, and generally get society all hot and bothered, I thought I'd dig into the archives and paste this inspiring wave of color. Does this work?

Sunflowers? If I am correct thanks for the smile Carmi... I long for the warm days of summer.
Wow, if I was really, really mean, I'd tell you that we already have flowers that nice out here in sunny Vancouver...
And what a lovely, mellow color it is. It oozes warmth. Thanks, Carmi.
It reminds me of a water slide - fun!
It must be a sunflower! It makes me think of summer on my grandparent's farm when I was a kid. Yellow is my favorite color. Thanks, Carmi!
How pretty!
Hello, Michele sent me!
Very pretty :)
oh and btw
Hello, Michele sent me!
Hi Carmi, I love your pictures. (incl. the lights)
By the way, I tried to post a comment on the previous post a day ago but couldn't.
this reminds me of an obscuted photo i once of boiled peanuts... equally beautiful.
looks vaguely like flower petals to me...
Beautiful doesn't seem to cover it.
I love the color and the movement. It reminds me of a hypnotic, undersea creature.
Not only is the color wonderful but it has a great feeling of texture that you don't always see in flower photos. Warm and velvety but smooth. Nice.
This is the first photo I'm seeing on your site, b/c I'm a new visitor. Yes, it works! The photo evokes a sensual warm feel to it. I have a very active imagination so I'm not going to guess *all* the things this photo could "really" be. That's not the point anyway of certain photos. :)
I like the flow of the curvy lines. The black in the upper right corner (and even the small bit of black in the lower left) serve as a contrast to bring the viewer's eye back into and over the lovely lines and forms of your piece.
I touched on this above, but to be clearer, I enjoy the mysterious, somewhat abstract quality of the piece. (Yellow is not one of my favorite colours, but I'm drawn to the photo.) *very nice! :)
