She's going to kill me, but...

...I have to share this image of my wife. It's from our most recent trip to the beach, likely our last of the season. The day was almost done as she watched our munchkins enjoy their last few minutes of sandy playtime. I love this time because it's when I usually start to wonder about What It All Means.

As usual, I was taking obtrusive pictures of all of us. It's what I do! As this image loomed in the viewfinder, I stopped and stared at her, my finger resting on the shutter, but exerting no pressure on the little silver button. I felt lucky to be right there at that moment in time and space, watching her watch our children. I think it's a beautiful picture of a beautiful woman at an all-too-short magical point in time.

When our lawn is covered with snow this winter, I'll look back at this image and think how lucky I am to be able to witness tiny moments like this. Blessed only begins to describe the life I lead.

It's a nice picture. It's important to enjoy the moment and not be so absorbed in getting the pictures that you forget that so good on ya.

Hello, Michele sent me! Naah, with words like that, she won't likely kill you! :)

It is a nice pic to remember summer by (I'm guessing she'll only kill you with kindness). But please don't say "snow." It is, after all, a four letter word.

Michele sent me today...but I'd have stopped by anyway...I'm with Dave Diamond...there's no way she'd kill you after reading what you wrote to go with the picture.

Beautiful picture and beautiful sentiment.

What a beautiful picture. Your wife has a wonderful profile. Great, straight nose and perfectly shaped lips. She looks content and relaxed. It's wonderful to catch someone you love in a casual moment like this - one that just touches you enough to take one last look at them before you snap the memory to document it forever. Sounds like you have a wonderful family and you are all very blessed to have each other. Very nice blog. Enjoy the writings and the pictures.

If a beautiful woman is loved by her man; that makes her feel beautiful and that makes her even prettier.
I don't say that because Michele sent me even though she did....

It's a beautiful picture. People always find it annoying when you snap pictures during a good moment, but in the end it's always there for you to remember.

This photo has a very "last days of summer" feel to it. It (and your wife) is beautiful. I came on my own.

Would any woman kill a man who would write such lovely things about her and their family? I don't think so.

Besides, it's a great photo of a beautiful woman. What's not to love?

Here from Michele's today.

At the second look, she is even prettier than before! Thanks for coming over, Carmi, and I can tell you whom to blame for the throw-away society we live in: the advertising people who make stuff irresistible and the manufacturers, who keep bring out ever new and "improved" stuff we believe we "must" have.

If every man is a piece of the continent or a part of the maine, then I am glad my chunk of the continent is next to my lovely wife as I am sure you are quite pleased to have set up shop right next to yours. Treasure her. They are hard to find and harder to keep. Fine post.

What you wrote was really nice. So I won't kill you. I'm not a big fan of my own pictures (I'm most critical of myself and see all the imperfections!), but I do love the ones with you and our munchkins.

That was a really nice day at the beach. The weather is too warm now, and I'm looking forward to some cool fall nights.

Thanks again, for the lovely sentiment. Even when I don't really feel it, you make me feel special!
