Temporarily pink

I'm still hurting from the big room move over the weekend. To make matters worse, I dropped my bike on myself this morning while I was putting some air in the tire. It caught my elbow on the way down before landing on my other foot. Some days, it simply pays to take the car.

So to make myself feel better, I thought I'd dig waaaay into the archives and share this somewhat happier image. I took it years ago, and it's always been one of my favorites. I've got a thing for flowers because they're so beautiful for such a short period of time. So you either capture them while they're there, or you risk losing the image and the memory forever.

Your turn: What else fades quickly? (It could be something tangible...or not. Be creative!)

Stopping by to say hello...

I love the title for this post and that is indeed a glorious photo.

For me, bad moods usually fade very quickly, simply because they are not worth the effort.

I hope you are feeling better Carmi, I know that I feel better simply for pausing to read your wonderful words.

That is one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. If you ever want to send me a copy, I'd gladly accept it.

Hope you feel better soonest!

That picture is gorgeous!!! Do you frame your photos and sell them? You really should.

About your question, well, if I don't write a thought or story down, I forget it. It fades. I think that's why I love blogging so much, it's bringing back all of these memories that I thought I'd lost.
