The leaves on the trees have mostly fallen, the few that are left behind clinging to the branches in one last act of quiet defiance.
In so many ways, the story is over. Everyone else has already gone home now that the colours are just about gone.
Yet as one chapter ends, another is getting underway. It isn’t filled with crowd-pleasing colours and breathtaking tones, but it’s a story worth telling all the same.
We’ll have to return to this place, then. Because every story, no matter how bright or dim it might be, deserves to be told.
