I found Edimame hummous the other day, and it was really, really yummy, too!
Mmmmm Humous, never used to like it at all, the texture was always a bit odd to me, but I have acquired a taste for it over the last year or so :o)

In my "office" days, we had the periodic food day where we'd have to bring in food to nibble on. In order to thwart the onset of my co-workers' office ass, I brought in some hummus and pita bread.
"How am I supposed to keep this figure with this stuff," complained a rather large cohort.
Funny, if it's not greasy, powdered/glazed or smothered in salsa, nobody reaches for it.
As far as the pronunciation, you could take the new age, multi-culturally senstive-authentic route and do a breathy, delicate 'clearing of the throat' sound with the "H." Or you can reach for the "NAH-tcho" cheese instead.

My daughter and I love it....my husband and son won't touch it. We pronounce it Hum-Us. Never had it for breakfast, more of a snack in the afternoon or evening with raw veggies or pita or crackers. I imagine it would be a good breakfast choice though...lots of protein....getting past the garlic first thing in the morning might be tough though.
