AND THE ATMOSPHERIC RIVER BEGINS!

A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

Perfectly captioned...a bittersweet attachment.
You're my favorite WW discovery (so far) :). Just difficult to make time to keep up, ya know? Such is the life of blog....
Reminds me how overly dependent we are on all things electric - and how difficult it is to give up some of life's electric conveniences!
Great pic! Very majestic.
That picture is a refreshing twist... not at all what I expected when I saw the link name. Enough sadness already. I like your twin towers. They're electrifying. Thanks for the visit!
great shot!
Your photos are so interesting and often very thought provoking. You never know what to expect. I would have passed right by this scene without taking a second look. Very nice.
Happy WW!
Hahaha, I am speachless, hhrrrm, wordless !
They look like dancing partners. Happy WW.
you had me going...
happy ww to you.
I love the composition and lines of your photo. Very nice. Thanks for dropping by - I'll post the story behind the disks soon. :D
Twin Towers of cables. :D

really great photo. very unique and interesting to look at!
You are so creative~ Even the dead squirrel/chipmunk thingy. Yikes!
Great pic! Those are some tall power line posts!
Poignant. I love how they are just shells....a remembrance. Very thoughtful....and a good eye!
Happy WW ;)
Great Picture! What would we do without them. It is part of the good and bad...the Yen and the Yang.
You can not have one without the other.
Have a great WW!! Thanks for stopping by and leaving your kind words. I will share them with our Marines.
They look like naked robots!
LOL I love the naked robot comment! Awesome pictures keep it up!
My brother has a few of these just a few feet away in his backyard. It's a bit creepy! LOL - But your photo is great. Thanks for stopping by and Happy WW
Cool photo. I like the title. I like was it insinuates.
Great picture.....a bit haunting. Happy WW!
Naked robots eh? LOL. Happy WW!
Very nice shot.
Nice idea. Happy WW.
Wonderful share for today’s ww!
Thanks for visiting earlier.
Very regal shot! Thanks for sharing your picture and thanks for the lovely words you left on my blog!
Happy Wednesday--
Kim
it's so gray!
your photos are always so interesting.
Happy WW!
I like the symmetry of the photo and all of the straight lines. Very interesting...
I am sorry I left a wrong link ! My main blog is Writer Cramps. But now you know at least my cats, lol !
That's a great capture. Lately I've been intrigued by taking pictures of things around me, as opposed to constantly having some kind of living, breathing subject matter. Although, this week my shot is one of the oldest and youngest members of our family.
Great job, Carmi; I'll be back again!
A great perspective - they really look like towers! Stunning!
Happy WW!
Lots of comments before me share my feelings. Great shot...in many ways. Happy WW.
Great WW photo! I wonder what our ancestors would think when they see things like that?
I have a George Bush cartoon waiting for you.
peace, Villager
I love this photo. Perfect example of less is more. Also, thanks for your kind comment on my blog! Please stop by anytime. Cheers from Boston=:)
it occurs to me, I do not see many [any] of those 'round here, whereas they ere everywhere in California ....
hmmmmmmmmm
Cool shot. It's refreshing that instead of mountains (which of course are always nice), you've revealed one of the everyday details. In the USA, our electric towers look different from these. Something that otherwise I wouldn't have known unless I traveled to Quebec.
Glad you dropped by my blog. I'm on the road and don't have my usual methods of getting back to my favorite WW'ers.
Hmm. maybe I will do a Wordless Wednesday for today too? I'm part of that stupid NAPLPOMO and I feel compelled to post daily now. Anyway, about the SNL DOra sketch, the youtube says it's not available anymore!! I rarely get to stay up to watch SNL isn't that sad???? with the writer's strike it's not on right now anyway. The new ones I mean.
The structure seems fragile and yet it is such a powerful picture...
Happy WW!
It's amazing how something so functional can still be beautiful - takes a special eye to recognise and capture that and you have it.
Wonderful caption.
Beautiful. So slender and fragile, yet so vital.
cool shot!
happy ww!
Ah! Lovely high wire lines. Hoping you don't live UNDER then! ;) Those things scare me, with the buzzing and all. ;)
Happy WW to you! :)
An interesting look at an everyday thing. Love that.
What a stark image you've captured. Quite creative. I'm impressed.
Beautiful entry for WW -- it reminded me so much of being a child living in West Texas and driving down miles and miles and miles of highway. Great capture.
Great capture! Happy WW!
Those towers will incite the anti-American terrorists too! Why, because they don't have them where they live (but they could).
Happy WW!
..
BTW, the blog you visited was not my WW for this week. It is at
http://jimmiehov6.blogspot.com/
..
what a poignant shot. well done.
I like that one... interesting, thought provoking. Happy WW!
Mine is up too! :)
<3, Amy in AZ
The title had me fooled.
Thanks for the surprise.
Thought provoking... and so many many things spring to mind...
Oddly enough, seeing they're in Laval, my mind went to the fun of the ice storms of 2005...
Lovely image!
This is a good one you have here.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for you kind words.
Happy WW to you as well.
Interesting picture and title - I didn't see the title till I clicked the link - but I saw it elsewhere and meant to have a look.
Awesome picture...an worth homage to the Twin tower.
Nice photo, Carmi. They look like wire chairs stacked on one another. Almost whimsical.
Neat picture! Happy WW!
When I see towers like these I always think of the magnetic field they create and hope no one lives to closely to them. But I enjoy pictures of towers and lighthouses and windmills and grain elevators and such.
Hi Carmi. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment there. You're right, it is nice to meet another Canadian through the blogesphere. I also agree with you that the baby hedgehogs are cute. I too would love to have some as pets... maybe one day.
I also agree with something you said in your profile here on your blog. The power of words to change the world. Every word we think, speak, or write is creative! Each one creates experiences in our lives and our world.
Have a great day!!
BARK, bark. I am a Canadian too. I'm Woofless on Wednesday. Bark!
wuakaka~ this is such a creative shot! (=
