Relating that to my childhood, it was too much time. Relating it to time with my own children, it went much to quickly. I hope you are having a great holiday season.
The thing about being part of a step-family is that the dynamic is constantly changing. You are both blessed and cursed to NOT have 18 years in any one configuration.
Of course, my immediate family is mostly four-footed, so 18 years isn't ever going to happen, but the eight or ten we get with each of those furry beings is precious.
P.S. Thanks for your note on MY blog this morning. It was nice to hear from you, and your words made me smile.
