Ironically, I had never before noticed this one, likely because I had spent years cycling past it, so focused on getting to or from work that I hadn’t ever bothered to look up.
My loss, as this is quite the tree, and it took a long overdue walk along the riverside path to finally realize just how special it is.
I think that means more slow strolls - here and elsewhere - in my future. So many once-hidden trees just waiting for their moment.
