Until said water shapes itself into clouds high above the planet.
Until those clouds are caught by the setting sun just so.
Until they reflect the light in a way that’s never happened before, and won’t happen again. At least not in this particular manner.
Wonder happens all the time. And it’s hardly realistic to spend all our waking moments looking for it. The day-to-day of modern life means most of us can’t fill our days staring up at clouds.
But every once in a while, it can’t hurt to disconnect from that day-to-day so we can take in the brilliance of reflective water vapor before the sun disappears for the night.
Because an occasional sense of wonder is good for the soul. I’ll watch for it more often if you will, too.
