When the tree roots by the riverbank dig deep against the currents fighting to destroy them.
This has been going on since long before any of us showed up, and it’ll continue long after we’re gone.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t drop in on a grey autumn afternoon to take a snapshot of a battle whose end we’ll never see.
