Goodnight, Mr. Sun London, ON February 2022 This photo originally shared on Instagram |
- When the sky puts on a show just before tucking itself in for the night, get outside to take it all in.
- Even if it's at the end of your street.
- If you're Canadian, bring your gloves. It's cold out there.
- Try to avoid looking like a stalker as your neighbors stare out their windows in suspicion.
- Have patience. Long after the sun sets, it can still put on a show.
- Don't just look to the western horizon. There's wonder all around, too.
- Listen. Nature's singing, but rarely do we take the time to hear it.
- At some point, cradle the camera and appreciate it for the magical tool that it is.
- Be thankful that you get to do this at all.
- Recognize that photography is a metaphor for life. At least it is for me.
