A stranger's phone call

On a brutally hot June afternoon, a woman who we’ll never know takes a call in the shade of a crumbling brick building just off the town’s main commercial strip.

She paces back and forth, her body language suggesting this may not be her friendliest call of the day.

I quietly wish her peace as I gently brush the shutter, the camera capturing a moment I hope soon turns as colourful as the mural beside her.
