It's been eight years since I shot this fleeting scene on a crowded, hot, humid Shanghai street.

The little girl seen here is hopefully a lot bigger, and hopefully pursuing whatever it is that she hopes to pursue.

I often wonder about the strangers I happen to capture in a photo. I think about where they've ended up, and I quietly hope they're doing OK.
