Viper over London

Demo day
London, ON
September 2020

Since we're in a plane-ish mood*, here's a throwback to the day last September when we sat beside our cars alongside the runway and watched a very special Viper do its thing.

Pay extra close attention to the red-and-white sticker on the side of the engine intake, just behind the anti-collision light.

It pays tribute to Capt. Jenn Casey, the public affairs officer of Canada's Snowbirds team, who died the previous May when her plane crashed just after takeoff from Kamloops, B.C.

Mad respect to the good folks from @viperdemoteam for this touching gesture.

* The air show is coming back to London at the end of the month. COVID being COVID, we'll once again be parked in our cars, properly socially distanced from other attendees, as the aircraft do their flyby displays. Nothing on static for a second straight year.

The blessing is we get to have this event in any form. So as I gear up for another photographically epic day, I thought I'd share a few fun snippets from last year's show. Hope you enjoy.
