NOTE: We're still sharing pretty pictures as a form of photographic distraction from the clusterf--k that is the pandemic. See yesterday's entry for more. Otherwise, feel free to pick up your camera and start shooting. Or dig into your archives and share your favorites. Feel free to use the following hashtag: #PandemicPics.

Now, on with the show...

You usually hear them before you see them.

Mournful honking coming from somewhere, but it takes a few seconds to figure out precisely where they are in the sky.

They work together to cut the wind, maximize the draft, help each other out.

That honking? Nowhere near random. Rather, a perfect communication system that we puny landlocked humans don't deserve to understand.

Soon enough, the sight, sound, and spectacle fade.

Where are they headed? Only they know. Like their language, we don't deserve to know that, either.

Humbling, isn't it?
