5 years...

Love me

Today marks 5 years to the day since we said goodbye to Frasier.

We blinked when we first rescued him.

Blinked every day we had him.

Blinked the day we lost him.

Blinked every day since.

That’s now time works.

It moves faster than we think.

We never get as much as we wish we could have.

We aren’t guaranteed tomorrow.

We can’t afford to waste whatever we’ve been given.

Frasier taught us to cherish time, those tiny moments that somehow become permanent memories indelibly burned into our souls. He was sweet, smart, cuddly, loud, expensive, wildly imperfect, yet also perfect in his own way.

He was, for every moment we had him and every moment since, a piece of us.

We miss you limitlessly, buddy. Thank you for making our family whole, for making us better people, for giving us countless reasons to have loved you in the first place.

I’d change nothing except that time thing. Wish we had more.
