Catching up - Ink Blog entries

This past week was an on week for my column in the London Free Press. I've back-posted each of the five entries to its respective day, and have linked to them from here.

Wherever you're visiting from, I hope you'll read all of them and share your thoughts on this week's topics. If I've provoked thought and discussion, then I will have done my job.

Happy reading - and happy commenting!

Tue Nov 01 – Iranian presidential hatred
Wed Nov 02 – Can’t take the bus
Thu Nov 03 – Why I despise our ex-leader
Fri Nov 04 – Illiteracy is our national disgrace
Sat Nov 05 – Development slowdown is boneheaded

Hi Carmi, Ahmadinejad's idiotic statement that Israel should be wiped off the face of the map...is idiotic and pure evil. Just when you think there is a sliver of hope you hear another moron speak.

Good articles! Michele sent me!

hi, michelle sent me. OK, about mass transit, because thats the one nearest my heart... when we lived in the sity, we rode the "max" everywhere.(max is the light rail train system in portland Oregon... run by tri-met) since we moved into the willamette valley we have found that the limited amount of public transportation here is so unweildy, and takes the riders, hmmmm NOWHERE useful, at all, that we hop in the minivan always. it makes me sad that where we live, we dont even have recycling services... rural life is different i guess.

1. Michele sent me.

2. I take the bus almost everyday. Like you, I easily get bus sick - especially in the heat of summer. So, I sit at the front. With the recent energy issues, the bus fare has gone up and the service has been reduced. It's not fun but it is life. Oh well.

3. I must say, you look really different without a hat on! Wow!

4. Say, I tagged you for a meme. Do you play along with memes? If not, I understand. Just wondering.

Hi Carmi,
okay the comment moderation thing...go to 'settings' and then select 'comments'. On that screen you will see, 'Enable comment moderation?' and you want to select 'yes'. then you can give your email they'll contact you when someone comments. make sure to click 'save settings' or it's all for naught.
hope this helps :)

Hi Carmi: I missed the November 1st news. We Bulgarians are close to Israel (check out Michael Bar Zohar's book "Beyond Hitler's Grasp) as not one of our Jewish friends was lost to the Holocaust. We sent the deportation trains out empty. Hitler called King Boris to a meeting and it was stormy. He returned to Sofia and died of a mysterious death within 72 hours. We feel certain Hitler poisoned him after he told Hitler to shove it. israel recognized Bulgaria and Denmark 2 years ago. Your topics are fascinating, so I will go back now and read them! So great to know a fellow journalist!
