AND THE ATMOSPHERIC RIVER BEGINS!

A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

Hi, Carmi. I'm visiting from Michelle's. What a great shot.
Unless we make a change in direction, a lot of times where we're going is exactly like where we've come from. So, if you don't like where you were, don't keep going on the same road. Change direction.
It's a good time to drive on that road as there is no mone else there!
Michele sent me here.
The journey may be a distortion...but take control and enjoy it.
It's really the text that speaks volumes. Our past maybe behind us, but it is usually not as far behind as we may wish to believe.
Frequent Toronto-Montreal trips makes this image familiar to me.
this is adnan from istanbul-stockholm... i mean i really like to read your blog... i generally do not comment and just not waste time for this but, ok, i liked it.
hi, this is adnan, istanbul-stockholm... i liked your blog, really. i generally do not comment. but, this time... i really like it. you should see istanbul. and i wanna hear your comments about istanbul
Everything passes you by in a glimpse of an eye. Lets not forget the beautiful things we see cause we may only pass there once.
What a great photo.
somtimes, stopping to smell the ross shows us there's asolutely no smell. In other words, do what you do and don't long for what you think you should be doing. Just do it. (Ok, that last line's a bit Nike, but anyhow...!)
I was on that same highway the day before..home bound after spending a beautiful 5 days in Niagara Falls for our Honeymoon..for us the thrill of the Journey there was , leaving our cares behind for the next 5 days, a total bliss with the anticipation of seeing one of our planets wonders for the first time , together....the journey home was not sad...looking back in the rear view mirror already has many lovely memories of our time spent...and looking forward to many more days of being married and planning new adventures in the future together...
Well, someone is going to cue Meat Loaf singing "Objects in the Rear View Mirror" aren't they? ;-)
...what a wonderful shot..
nice a beautiful...........
Over from the other Michele's
I just got finished typing a quote by poet Nikki Giovanni... "If you don't understand yourself you don't understand anybody else." I think that applies nicely.
I've always wanted to take a photo like that. So glad to see someone did.
I think you said it perfectly Carmi (as you always do)
Well, I'd say that as interesting as the things are that are in our past, if we only focus on them, we might be in trouble as we head into the future.
Stopping by to say hello Carmi. Hope all is well!
Hindsight is often better than foresight.
Great image.
The road behind us sometimes looms larger than the road ahead.

I think that is one of my favourite photos of yours. I know I keep saying that. ahaha.
As soon as I saw it and before I read the words. I thought "hey I know that highway, and have been down that road many a times"
Then I read the post to go with it, and couldn't agree with you more.
that is AWESOME!! And you didnt catch yourself in the side mirror anywhere - most impressive...
I love it!
And i love what you've said. I totally agree, when you look back on your life or things that have happenend in your life, you DO understand how you came to be where you are and it encourages you to look forward to the things that are to come - both good and bad.
I just love coming to your blog and chilling out over a nice picture or a good read...
Have a most excellent day!
PS - I Hope that your trip was oober fun!
