About these photos: Thematic Photographic wraps up its week-long exploration of all things different with something...a little different. We'll post a new theme at 7 p.m. EST tomorrow (still mulling, suggestions welcome) but for now, it's game on here if you'd like to take part.I have a thing for Apple. There, I said it. Yes, their stuff is typically more expensive than average and you sometimes risk being branded as a bit of an elitist for using it. But I'm more interested in things that work than in how I look doing it.
That said, I think the illuminated logo on the lid of their laptops is a neat design touch from a company that understands the difference small things like this can make. And when you light the same subject differently in two consecutive photos, you can have some fun with it, too.
Your turn: One subject, two vastly different scenes. Got an example?

i'll have to think on this one a while...
two things, the same things - in a different light...
person, food, car, logo, clothing??? how about this:
i sat looking out the window of a restaurant today as it rained. i saw a very shapely, female who's face was hidden by an umbrella as she walked quickly toward the door. i noticed everything about her form and admired her shape, movement, and tight jeans - it was a man moment.
within a few minutes the umbrella come down, and the very young girl was joined by her mother. oh what difference ones perception can make.
not sure that is what you had in mind...
Britney Spears doing a mathematical equation, and an automobile engine that has run low on oil and is smoking and grinding, just before it ceases to function.
Oh, wait, those are two things that are the same. You wanted different. Sorry about the mix-up.
Funny Klaatu!
I can't seem to think of anything, but I do have to say there is nothing elitist about owning a mac. It's about owning a computer that doesn't do wacky things ALL the time to drive you insane.
Proud Mac owner, can you tell!? :)
You Elitist, you! Perhaps you'll have to send some of that Mac stuff to us poor uninitiated and then we'll understand...
Actually, the best example of my own I can think of was already posted in Thematic 67 - "Urban" v.4.0 It was the city skyline shot from the same perch by day and by night. And while it didn't really factor into the shot, they were also taken six months apart. Big difference. Huge even.
But that has nothing to do with the regularly scheduled "Different" program I had on tap for today. that would be this one, which is ... sort of similar in concept, but not really. It's a different view of a place I've featured before, but not the same subject. Thematic Photographic 78: "Different" v.6.0 - Well That Bites
Those are fun. Neat. I appreciated your explanation of how you made them different. I hope your Apple is worm-free.
