Wordless Wednesday - A sign from above

Restful?
London, ON, July 2007 [Click to enlarge]
About this photo: We've been celebrating shadows all week as part of Thematic Photographic and this photo will be my last of the series. Feel free to share your own shadow-themed pic (new, old, whatever you wish) by clicking here. Please scroll down for details on next week's theme.
I often take pictures of scenes that initially don't present themselves as anything special. Only later when I get home do I hear the Twilight Zone music and realize something surprising and neat must have been going on in front of my lens.

As you can guess, this photo is squarely in the so-called pleasant surprise category.

Your turn: Go ahead and click it to enlarge. Mull it over for a bit. What do you see?

One more thing: You didn't think I'd forget next week's Thematic Photographic theme, did you? Perish at the thought! At exactly 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, I'll be posting the new theme for the coming week. To get your brain in the right mood, I'm sharing the theme a little early. It is...bright.

(Why bright? Because the days are getting shorter and shorter in the northern hemisphere, and we just spent a week exploring shadows. So we may as well head in the opposite direction and see what we find. Happy thinking!)

I love photos of the clouds! I've gotten some good ones here in Florida. I don't envy you your short days at all.

I almost never see shapes in clouds. I could never make out anything on ultrasounds either. But I finally made peace with the idea by figuring out that I didn't have to see "something" for it to be impressive. Like this achingly blue sky and it's pristine white clouds. That's impressive whether you see the bunny in it or not.

Equally impressive is how you keep beating me to the top spot in WW every week. Someday I'm gonna figure out how you do that...

Bright, huh? hmm... Definitely not a self-portrait prompt. What are bright things? This could get interesting.

I love clouds. This would have been perfect for a Skywatch Friday. I did play the 'sweet' theme but did'nt had the time for the 'shadow' one. Next weeks theme 'bright' is a real challenge. I will better start thinking now. Happy WW!

Well since I was listening to "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" I see an angel in the top right hand corner.

Beautiful cloud shot. I see a face looking up on the left, someone with a crown or some type of headpiece on. Think I might have identified the bunny that was mentioned.

The light in the clouds is really wonderful. The colors are amazing!

I don't see a bunny, either.

But the smaller cloud up in the right hand corner? Totally looks like an angel playing the lute. (I'd say guitar, but you'd think I was crazy. Lute, on the other hand, seems far more likely.)

Clouds are among my favorites to photograph. The blues in this shot are awesome.
When I sit back and squint, I see a white bird with long eratic wings hanging in flight with it's tail curled under.

I have my "bright" post ready to go at 7:00 p.m. Thanks for the visit.

Hello my friend!

I see a mirror image of your face in the upper right-hand corner, whispy cloud. Is that what you see??

Oh, how I wish I could the images from my phone onto my computer without paying over a dollar to email myself each photo! I have a wonderful photo of a beautiful sunset, and right dab in the center is this evil looking face made out of ominous black clouds! All of the other clouds are black, orange, and the background sky is blue. It's a very strange photo.

This photo is lovely, by the way!

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!
This time for sure.

So please stop by often and a lot!
:)

Peace,
Bhakti

I used to stare at clouds as a kid and see shapes. Maybe I should do that again.

Lovely picture!

Seems to me, this photo not only represented shadow, but also bright.
A very nice bridge from one week to the next.
