Going with the flow

This week's theme, playing with light, is a bit misleading. That's because one can easily say that all of photography is technically playing with light. It's all about optics, about capturing light in certain ways and sharing the results with others. So why would I single it out on its own?
Good question. Because for the next week I'd like us all to explore pictures where the light is the story. It doesn't matter how strange it may look - all that matters is that the picture jazzes you in some way, and that you find some way to interpret the theme. As is always the case with Thematic themes, there are no rights or wrongs. Just visions. And for the next week, I hope you'll enjoy exploring this one. And yours.
Your turn: Take a pic that reflects the "playing with light" theme - or find one you may have posted online - and then leave a comment here letting everyone know where to find it. Update: Almost forgot to update y'all on what this is. It's a jellyfish, and I caught this shot at the Quebec Aquarium. Low light and relatively fast-moving beings made for an interesting challenge. The meandering crowds didn't help, either. But I stuck with it for a bit and eventually got this one reasonably decent shot. I'm learning that patience can be a virtue on occasion.

Funny you should pick this theme.. When I first saw it, it reminds me of my friend's blog page title.
That is an awesome picture, for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. But the color and the reflection are captivating. I'll be thinking all week...

What an amazing play with light theme photo! Not really sure what this stunning green object that appears to be floating is...but it's great...and oh this will be hard to match! Fantastic theme Carmi!

Hi Carmi!
I have a couple of shots that were taken during a walk along the seashore in Victoria, BC. They convey a very different mood, I think mostly because of the effect of light on fog.
