Thematic Photographic 201 - Welcome Summer

Goooooooooal!
London, ON
August 2011

The calendar says summer has just arrived. The pessimists among us say it's all downhill from here, as the days will get shorter and shorter as the humidity and bug density ratchet themselves up to epic, global warming-induced levels.

But I'm not a pessimist, and I'm guessing most of you aren't, either. So for the next week's worth of Thematic - our first step into our second bicentennial - let's keep it simple and fun. Scenes from summer. That's it. You in?

Your turn: Shoot a summer-themed scene, then share it on your blog. Leave a comment here letting folks know where to find it, then drop in on other participants to share the photographic goodness. Participate as often as you'd like, and even bring in a friend - new folks are always welcome. For more background on how this Thematic thing of ours works, just click here. Otherwise have fun!

I love the shot Carmi, definitely a summer scene! And it's not all downhill from here, we've only just begun!

I'll be back with a summer post, or I might just link in to one of my recent posts... but just a warning, I'll be back!

Cheers.

I have a summer scene from Saturday (so pre-Thematic 201...I'm sure I'll have an official 201 later this week).

This fawn couldn't be more than a couple of days old...

Not much summer so far here, but HERE are my summer photos.

Next question for techies - I use Windows live writer, but how can I get it to convert a typed link into a blue one for people to click on?? Like I have above.

I love this shot, Carmi—all those colorful shirts of summer just waiting for bodies to fill them and start playing!

I posted some photos of summer blooms from my garden...

Note the pic of the bear (that was there, but not when I took the picture). Dang it!

I've really appreciated everyone's beautiful summery shots for Theme 201!
Here's a late post for this theme (sort-of, anyway)

My husband and I joke about when we know that summer has really hit here, in the desert of Arizona...the too tight tank tops are displayed along with short shorts. This doesn't leave much to the imagination. I think I'll spare everyone the picture as I try to forget that the hot summer is here for several more months!
