Used for ....a waterfall?
It would make a wonderful melody of drips!
Wonderful imagery!
Happy WW!
hmm ... these chains are used for squirrel aerobics? :)
happy ww!
. . . as see-through curtains.
Cool photo! Mine is up here: http://bunny-trails.blogspot.com/2008/02/wordless-wednesday-tall-couple.html
Happy WW Carmi! Once again a great shot and caption :) Thanks for my Tuesday evening smile!
I did a pun this week with mine in honor of your clever wordplay ;)
Well, they look very neat and tidy to me. I think they're still in the hardware store and haven't been used for anything...yet. :)
My post is here if you'd like to visit. :)
Awesome shot Carmi.
Chains help hold things together. Tightly and safely.
I love how you got in close on this one. You made us see an ordinary object in a new way. Nicely done.
My WW post for this week is up with pictures of spring flowers.
Very nice! Your pics are always very good!
I can't think of a reason for those chains to be hanging like that... now I'll go to bed with that in my mind! :-)
Happy WW!
My post today: "Soccer stars".
inextricably linked indeed. so clear a shot.
Nice composition. Happy WW! :)
Not to post a negative comment, don't mean to...but captions are supposed to be the first thing popping into your head.
In my city lately, hopefully these chains will be used to forever hold back the serial rapist/murderer that is plaguing Reno :)
On a lighter note, possibly really wide snow chains :)
that´s the sound of a man working on a chain gang ..... happy ww
Hmm, the chains could be a modern art windchime.
That's a neat photo!
I don't to be in chain is what gets to my head seeing this photo!
Interesting shot - very abstract almost. I used to be a big Alice in Chains fan - back in the day ;)
Those chains are for linking big things--boats to piers, maybe?
I love shots of things that show patterns. This was no exception. Happy WW.
Those chains are keeping something out or in?
Wow, great shot....I think Alice in Chains is a great caption but...
these chains I think are actually a fence.
I love taking pictures like this! Great one, Carmi!!
They are used to chain your bike to a pole. hehe....
Looking for that missing link! Great shot! Have a great day!
Perhaps this chain-link curtain is to keep people out...or in!
Interesting choice for a WW, making the ordinary anything but.
:)
Chains could be good use for decorations or fence. Happy WW!

Nice picture. I'm thinking - "Industrial blinds" or a 21st century version of the old 60's strings of beads for a door way.
You know Carmi, some (okay most) people just take pictures but not you. You take pictures that invoke thought and reflection on life - - -it's a wonderful gift and you excel at it. Regardless of what these chains are for the amount of thought that you gave every one to ponder outweighs anything else. Oh and congrats on your recent "getting noticed" again in the media for your expertise. One day I'm going to say "Hey I KNOW that guy!!"
Hugs,
Holly
Hehe, that band rocks!! Happy WW :-)
Don't tell me ... Goth decor? I can totally see this in some downtown punk club.
I won't even tell you my FIRST thought. *smack selfs*
Have a good one, Carmi!

How about somewhere in a playground? Happy WW!
Used for...tires on a semi in the middle of winter.
They are used to keep the snow out of Florida. :D
To stop Florida mosquitos getting in
