On Dear Abby & bullying

“The best index to a person's character is how he treats people who can't do him any good, and how he treats people who can't fight back.”
Abigail Van Buren
This particular sentiment has served me well over the years, as it's allowed me to decide who I really want to spend time with, and who I don't. Funny how those who would bully others typically don't realize they're being watched.

Your turn: How do you deal with a bully?

Bullies or ignorant folk can't deal w/logic.. So, I dish out logic..I can't deal w/fools who get their kicks out of hurting others not only physically but mentally.. Ever notice if u try to reason w/a fool, they can't seem to handle it? :-)

They don't have a clue! I have always liked this quote! It also reminds me of those who can be so unkind or hurtful to people they haven't even met....how does that make any sense? Funny thing, my 6 Word Saturday coming out tomorrow is closely related to this very thing!

I always look at how someone treats people who serve them, like waiters, waitresses, bar staff, shop staff etc. If they are nice to influential people but horrid to these people then I figure they are not very nice people at all.

As an adult, I avoid them. But my children are currently being bullied in kindergarten and that is harder to swallow...
