THROWBACK THURSDAY

A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

Freshly made roof-tiles, put out into the Sun, for drying out
hocky puck production line.
A rooftop...great shot....just my style Carmi!
Gotta agree with "SzélsőFa", neat find.
Cheers,
P.
Rooftop?
Roped bridge?
These are always so fun!
They look some form of irrigation lines to me but personally I like the humor of the hockey puck line Stacy threw out there. I don't get as many comments in as I'd like these days, but I ALWAYS enjoy your posts Carmi!
Hugs,
Holly
I thought it might be tread/texture on a mat?
My first thought was roof tiles as well.
Sitting here shaking my head...I don't have a clue. But as usual, a very unusual photo.
PS...Just voted for you in both categories. I'm also up for one on my blog.
That's a lot of Salami!
My first thought was roof top, but it also looks like it could be rows of some sort of food (what exactly I couldn't say).
I think it is a roof...BUT, the creative part of me says it is pieces of bread that have been over toasteed and lined up to look like a roof! (LOL) Well, you said be creative, Carmi...
Like many others here my first thought was roof tiles as well.
It could of course be a noodle line. This would therefore be the part where the noodle clumps are stacked and dried after harvesting from the noodle fields before being unravelled by hand and packaged. No?
I looked at this quickly and thought I'd scroll down and Carmi will enlighten me....
just not this time though! :)
Tired wee brain cells here today...
roof tiles look about right, now I've just got to remember to check back and find out
I am trying to catch up on reading and I've enjoyed all your stories and photos from your trip!! Very interesting stuff!!
I have no clue as to what this is.
First guess - the roof of a pagoda type building. Second guess - stacks and stacks of used car tyres (though I suspect my first answer is more likely)
black licorice specifically made for the giant who lives at the top of the beanstalk.
Most of you got it pretty precisely: this is a closeup of a traditional pagoda-style roof on the Buddhist temple that we visited near the market district.
The curved pattern attracted my eye, and I just couldn't look away.
Thanks for playing along! I'll do this again soon. Real soon.
