LaGuardia Airport, September 7, 2006, 9:14 a.m.I was pleasantly surprised by everyone's response to my winding road entry, so I thought I'd continue the theme with this next image. I captured this image as I headed home from New York City last month. I always tend to get reflective on these journeys, so when I saw the brilliant sun and its shadows on the polished floor of the corridor just before the security area, I thought it was worth remembering.
As always, it begets another question...
Your turn: Where are you headed today (be literal, be figurative, or be whimsical...go nuts.)

Down Marco Polo's trek...
Maggie :-)
Oh, sorry, got sidetracked reading a week's worth of entries.... I love this shot! And where am I headed? -- to a picnic this afternoon, hopefully to a short nap beforehand, and visiting my 86 year old mother after. Michele sent me!
Uniontown, Pa for dinner and the Herman's Hermits concert!
Squee!
Here via michele's :)
I'm at work stuck in front of the computer...where am I going? to faraway places where my imagination can take me. Maybe to Neverland...
Even when I wake up in the morning, I am heading for bed.
Michele sent me here.
At first I wasn't impressed with this walkway photo, but then I noticed how it kind of looks as though you are looking up at a building (due to the shadow in the top-left corner). Also reminiscent of layers of sand.
Studying through the day. Opening fasts at dusk at a friend's place in Pickering.
It's cold and baby is napping. I think I might splurge on another cup of coffee, some quiet and some time in front of my computer.
I'm headed to my household chores today (laundry, vacuuming, a trip to the recycle bin), and later to grab a bite with a friend.
Your photo makes me realize that even the most ordinary-seeimg things can become interesting photography subjects. A peacful shot in a hectic airport.
to the dry cleaner's(!)
And seeing one of your comments today, as I was on the way to the dry cleaner's, we had the new Peter Pan in Scarlet as the radio play, on the journey. So I guess I got to Neverland as well!
Yes and this time I'm here via Michele's, so Hi!!

headed to bed for a very long nap after working since the very wee hours of the morning.
I love this shot. I don't know why...and the long somewhat winding road shot moved me, too, but I'm not sure exactly why.
About the journey, not the destination, perhaps.
I was headed nowhere yesterday...the wrong way down a one-way road!
Been sick and just out of it and the internet's been my only entertainment.
Today's trek was just shopping with two kiddos.
hello Carmi, long time no visit. Sort of. hahaha
Nice photo, as usual.
Michele sent me this time
I dropped off books that I don't want anymore at a used book sale where my editor was working. . . unfortunately, I accidentally included a book he'd lent me AND a book I borrowed from work in the pile. . . oops! Then I came home and did one of my favorite things. . . slept through a football game. Now I'm going to Target to expend energy raised during said nap.
Howdy! Came on over from Michele's :-)
as for where I'm headed? I'm on the path to Freedom!
Lately I've felt like one of those three-tiered chess sets. The shadows remind me of compartments. I'm taking a journey into the center of the pie chart that I am today. I'll be touching on career, health, spirit, creativity, laughter, logic, and fun. I felt stuck for a long time, and now I feel like I'm finally moving again--I don't want to lose the momentum.

The floor looks like Tarazzo? Oh, I know I spelled that wrong. I love the light and shadow on this one. :) Makes me want to see the pattern closer.

Well, on Friday the 13th I headed out in a car, for a 16 hour trip to Illinois for a 50th wedding anniversary party. On Sunday, I did the drive back. It took most of the week for the humming and "in motion" feel to go away.
