On swimming in the deep end of the ocean

"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."

Makes me wonder how she arrived at the idea that 'we' don't feel our (individual) contribution doesn't rack up? I've always believed that ANY contribution is important- size doesn't matter (in this case) :-) *wink,wink*..lol

I understand that it's a metaphor...but I've always loved (ever since I got big enough to realize that I can SWIM) swimming in the ocean where it's too deep to touch the bottom.

I do believe it's so very important to feel like Mother Teresa said, otherwise we wouldn't believe how important it is to journey on, because there is so much out there that we just haven't even begun to touch yet....yes the gifts we haven't even opened yet, just waiting for us! Yes, it's that idea of wonder, into the unknown... that keeps me going....by the way, loved the quote of YOU on Cloudia's post today!
