Happy new month!
Why is it that whenever I say that, I'm looked at funny? What is it about years that makes them so conducive to universally-expressed good wishes. Similarly, what is it about months that renders them shut out of the Happy New [Period of Time Here] Sweepstakes?
I'm also prone to wishing people Happy Friday because it's the happiest day of the week - the weekend stretches ahead, and it is a world of limitless potential. On the contrary, Sunday does not merit such treatment because the work week looms ominously in its immediate future.
No matter what you celebrate, may your day, week, month, and year be happy and filled with all sorts of goodness. And please don't look askance if someone takes the time to wish you a happy whatever.
