"Art teaches nothing, except the significance of life."And with that, I'll go conjure up something from nothing, as another deadline looms.
Henry Miller
Before I dig into the piece, I'd like to share a quick observation: I've been writing professionally for years, yet the magic of the creative process - and its ability to reach out and impact others - will never wear off.
Art. Life. It's all the same to me. What about you?

How true that quote is... Paintings, statues, books can bring me to tears.. I love Van Gogh, and after reading about his personal life, you can see his mental state in his paintings- sadness, horror... Hemingway, Steinbeck, Michener, Uris all show beauty, pain, despair... even some humor.... Photographs do the same to me... especially the ones done in b&w.. There's a lot of feeling in b&w... Shadows, contrasts, simple lines says it all.
Art imitates life. However, we as a society are becoming passive consumers of media, and emulate what we see. Now life imitates art.
